Following the arrest of the snake's owner, there's more information about the highly venomous cobra that escaped in Grand Prairie last year and which remains on the loose.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram obtained arrest documents showing the six-foot snake was kept in a homemade container that did not have any locks.

Earlier this month, Lawrence Matl was arrested on a Texas Parks and Wildlife Department misdemeanor called release-from-captivity.

Matl told investigators he found his homemade Plexiglas case's sliding door was open about an inch when he discovered the snake had vanished.
