An 18-year-old man's now locked up in the shooting death of a Lancaster High School senior who was killed in Dallas over the weekend.
Keyshawn Harris was booked into the Dallas County Jail yesterday on a charge of murder. He is being held on a $500,000 bond.
Dallas police believe he's the one who shot Tony Evans Junior and another victim a hotel near Mockingbird and I-35 early Sunday. Evans died and the other person is reported to be in stable condition.
Witnesses told police the gunfire erupted during a party in one of the rooms at the Hawthorn Suites.
Detectives are not saying how they settled on Harris as their suspect nor are they saying if there's any reason for the shooting.
Evans was 17 and was just weeks away from graduating from Lancaster High School.
