One man is behind bars in connection to a shooting that injury two people Tuesday in South Oak Cliff, police say.
A man and a boy were wounded at an address on Happy Canyon Drive just a block from Paul Quinn College, Dallas police said. The incident started as a domestic assault in which police said a man was attacking his mother at her home.
The neighbors. a 12-year-old boy and a man of about 20, tried to intervene, which angered the son who, according to witnesses, left for about 10 minutes and then returned with a pistol he used to shoot up the neighbors' home.
The two victims were taken to the hospital where their wounds were not believed to be life-threatening. Since this was a family matter, police immediately knew the name of the man they were looking for. They found Marlon Perkins and booked him into the Dallas County jail Tuesday afternoon.
