As the Coronavirus Vaccine continues to be distributed in North Texas there are still many questions to be answered.
On Monday's Ask the Expert, Joseph Chang, Parkland Chief Medical Officer says some who get the vaccine are curious as to what it will take before we start to see herd immunity.
He spoke with the KRLD Afternoon News on Tuesday, saying for the DFW area, 7 to 8 million people would need to receive the vaccine.
Other people Dr. Cheng has come in contact with during vaccinations are asking how long will the shot lasts. That, he says, is still unknown. This might be a vaccination we need once a year like the flu vaccine or it could just need a booster every few years after the initial dose. Since this is a new virus there is still a lot to be learned. He says we just need to take it one step at a time.
