Ask the Expert: Protecting your personal data

Millions of people have no idea how their info gets collected and shared among different companies. On Thursday's Ask The Expert, Kim Komando, of the Kim Komando show, joined the KRLD Afternoon news.

She says most people have no idea how much of their valuable personal information is floating out in the dark web. A credit card number can be sold anywhere around $5-$10 where as someone's entire identy could be less that $100.

Some steps she suggest to help hide your digital footprint include clearing your browser history, deleting your cookies and restricting your privacy settings on your social media and apps.
