Last year, we had to deal with shortages of all kinds because of the Coronavirus. Stores ran out of everything from hand sanitizer to toilet paper.

There is still a major shortage in firearms and ammunition now. That's been going on for awhile. One study found gun sales have jumped 200 percent at one gun store in Dallas in just the last week.


There's also more interest in people that want to learn how to handle guns safely.

On Wednesday's Ask The Expert, Mike Weber, a firearms instructor from the Frisco Gun Club, joins the KRLD Afternoon News. He says he has seen more people come in to register for their "License to Carry" however he suggests for anyone who thinks that's all the training they need, that's false. He recommends in order for every responsible gun owner to feel "comfortble, competent and confident" they must take their training further.
