Ask the Expert: What do the census results reveal?

The 2020 Census results are out and it looks like Texas is getting two new house seats!

The latest numbers show the state’s population has increased by nearly 4 million people over the past decade. The State’s population topped out at just over 29 million.

In addition to the two Congressional seats, Texas will also pick up two more electoral votes, bringing the total to 40.
