Every session of the state legislature seems to have this form of a bill put in the hopper, where there's a call for Texas to possibly secede from the United States for one reason or another.

There are water rights from the Rio Grande, or the Colorado rivers and losing federal funds from DC, the power grid, and possible tariffs on Texas oil. Another minor thing, what happens to college sports in Texas? They couldn't be in the NCAA and that could billions.
