But, north Texas is also turning into a superpower in the banking industry.
A new report in Bloomberg finds DFW is now second in the country in the number of people that work in finance. Chicago and Los Angeles are now behind the Metroplex in sheer numbers.
Three of Wall Street's biggest banks started work on new places here in north Texas just this year.
