Since 1988, World AIDS Day has been internationally recognized on December1 every year. This day is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the disease.
On Ask the Expert, Dr. Ellen Kitchell joined the KRLD Afternoon News. She is the Medical Director of HIV Services at Parkland and Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
