At least one person died in a two-car crash that closed a stretch of I-30 near Fair Park all night.
Just past midnight, a car and an SUV collided on the east-bound side of 30 near Dolphin. The SUV rolled and ended up on its roof on an embankment alongside the freeway. The car spun out and crashed trunk first into a concrete barrier in the median.
One death at the scene was confirmed. Dallas County Sheriff's deputies administered roadside drunk-driving tests to one of the drivers but it's not clear if she was arrested.
Just past 4 a.m., there was another crash in the back-up, involving a big rig and a pick-up near East Grand. That collision caused critical injuries.
