A man is locked up in connection with a baby's death in Rowlett over the weekend.
Police say it all began when a woman called 911 for help, saying her husband was acting strangely and she was very afraid for her baby who was in his care.
Police arrived and got no cooperation from the man at all. They were able to force open the garage door and they found the baby in a car seat, completely unresponsive.
Reports say they started CPR immediately and paramedics rushed the infant to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, the man remained inside the home on Silver Springs Way and the SWAT standoff continued for hours. Ultimately, SWAT officers forced their way in and captured the man who is now up on multiple felony charges.
