The life of a boy killed in Dallas Sunday will be celebrated with a balloon launch on Thursday.
Eleven-year-old Dazmon Brown Junior was named publicly by his mom as reported in a local newspaper.
Keyamber Matlock says her son was with two friends, a pair of brothers, on Sunday when the three boys were left alone in the car while the mother of the friends ran into a Pleasant Grove Walmart.
The nine-year-old friend got his hands on a pistol left in the car and shot Dazmon, killing him.
Dallas police have not decided if the friends' mom will be charged.
Meanwhile Matlock's Facebook page has a notice announcing a balloon launch in Dazmon's memory. It'll be Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. on the campus of the Baylor Scott and While health center on Sping Avenue, about a mile southeast of Fair Park.
