Families will be flocking to Dallas as the Sheila and Jody Grant Children’s Park reopens at Klyde Warren Park on Friday.
"We knew we wanted to increase the size of the Children’s Park from the day we opened 10 years ago, and we have been dreaming about this day ever since," said Jody Grant, Chairman of the Board of Klyde Warren Park.
The renovation and addition of the children's park takes the space from 12,000-square feet to 18,000-square feet. The new area features a 35-foot climbing tower and slide, an interactive water feature, a kid-sized
climbing wall, and a shaded pavilion for birthday parties and family gatherings.
The project was made possible by a $5 million gift from the Perot family, naming the Children’s Park in honor of Sheila and Jody Grant, in recognition of the co-founders 18-year Park commitment.
The Park remains free and open to the public daily from 8 AM to 9 PM.
