To raise his employees’ spirits, last year Juan Gomez came up with the ultimate team-building adventure: bicycling 800 miles from his house in Dallas to his childhood home in El Paso.
His entire team accepted the challenge and decided to use it as an opportunity to raise money for Children’s Health.
They raised $9,500.
This year, his quest, deemed the "Great TX Ride" will head south to Corpus Christi.
Also this week, Juan and his team will join Children’s Health in celebrating Cape Day, presented by Bank of Texas, on April 28 to honor patient superheroes who fight courageously against illness and injury every day.
KRLD's John Liddle talked with Juan about last year's ride - and plans for an encore this year.
