DALLAS, TX (1080 KRLD) - Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas announced a new multi-year agreement with Southwestern Health Resources in a statement today.
The agreement will prevent an interruption in healthcare coverage for those insured by under the Par Plan, Blue Choice PPOSM, Blue Essentials, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage (PPO), Medicare Advantage (HMO), and Blue Advantage HMOSM members, according to the release.
Jim Springfield, President of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, said in the statement: “We value the care that SWHR provides our members."
“We stood for our members and were able to reach an agreement in their best interest. The agreement reflects our mutual commitment to our members, customers and SWHR’s patients having access to high quality and affordable care. As a customer-owned health insurance industry leader in Texas for more than 90 years, we’re pleased to continue our long-standing relationship with SWHR," Springfield said.
Details of the agreement have not yet been released.
