The BMW Dallas Marathon returns this weekend, bringing thousands of runners to the city and several road closures that could impact holiday plans.
Downtown Dallas streets will close Saturday at 7:30 a.m. and are expected to reopen between 10 and 10:30 a.m. On Sunday, closures will begin at the same time but will extend across the city, with roads reopening between 3 and 4 p.m.
Officials are urging residents to plan ahead, use alternative routes, and allow extra travel time to navigate around the closures. The annual event is expected to draw significant crowds as participants and spectators gather to support the marathon.
