A 14-year-old boy is in the hospital with injuries suffered when his mini-motor bike collided with an SUV in White Settlement Tuesday.
Officials say the boy was riding east on Gibbs Drive when the SUV heading north on South Cherry Lane struck him. The mini-motor bike ended up under the SUV and caught fire.
The boy, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered serious head injuries. He is in transported to JPS Hospital in Fort Worth and is listed in serious condition.
Police say the mini-motor bike was not street legal and the boy is too young to operate any motor vehicle on a public street.
