Bruce Bochy will step away as manager of the Texas Rangers after the 2025 season under a mutual agreement with the club.
The team announced that he has been offered a front-office advisory position, though it is not yet clear if he will accept.
Bochy, 70, took over as manager in 2023 and quickly made history, guiding the Rangers to their first-ever World Series title that same year. He finishes his Texas tenure with three seasons at the helm and a reputation as one of Major League Baseball’s most accomplished leaders.
The Rangers wrapped up this year with an 81–81 record, finishing exactly at .500. The club has not yet announced who will take over the dugout for 2026.
