Classes resumed Friday at Hosp Elementary School in Frisco ISD, a day after a bullet shattered a classroom window, sending glass and debris flying while students were inside.

No one was injured in the incident, which Frisco police say was the result of an accidental discharge. Authorities have identified the individual responsible but have not filed charges at this time. The Collin County District Attorney’s Office is continuing its investigation.

Parents are questioning how the shooting could have been unintentional and whether charges should be pursued.

School officials have not announced any additional security measures but assured families that student safety remains a priority.
