There is not a lot of space between the candidates trying to get the republican nomination for the Texas Senate seat when it comes to the Trump administration's actions in Venezuela over the weekend.
"Donald Trump could save the grandmother of every far-left activist from a speeding train, and they'd still protest it the next day," Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton wrote on 'X.'
Congressman Wesley Hunt called it a masterstroke of Donald Trump's presidency.
Incumbent Senator John Cornyn said Venezuela's leader was an illegitimate president who ran a major drug trafficking cartel involving high-ranking Venezuelan military officers and government officials.
"Kudos to President Trump," Senator Cornyn said in a statement.
On the democratic side of the race, Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett said the Trump administration needs to run the United States in response to the president saying the U.S. would run Venezuela.
State representative James Talarico fighting Crockett for the democratic nomination denounced the operation saying the president is putting American troops in harm's way for a deeply corrupt deal.
