Stop right there! Don't pour that leftover grease down the drain. Put it in a container and save it until next week.

The City of Carrollton wants to help you properly dispose of it so that you can avoid possible plumbing issues. During their upcoming Cease the Grease event for residents, you can get rid of the cooking oil, meat fats, lard, shortening, and grease often left over from Thanksgiving.

Just stop by the City of Carrollton Central Service Center from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 27, or Tuesday, Nov. 28, and drop it off for free.

Plan ahead for your next big holiday meal this season. and check out future dates to recycle your grease. Just visit cityofcarrollton.com.
