Carrollton Police have arrested a 17-year-old for murdering his own baby.
Police arrested Caleb Brown when he showed up at school this morning and took him to the Denton County Jail.
Police say the teen and the baby's mom, who is also 17, brought their 3-week old son to the ER last month when the mother noticed the baby had a lot of bruising and was pale. He was transferred to another hospital and pronounced dead.
According to an autopsy - Emerson had several displaced ribs and a lacerated liver.
Detectives say they later learned Brown was angry at the boy's mom for keeping the baby - and was concerned about having to pay child support. Brown told police what he did to the baby. Bond has not yet been set.
