A Celina family has a mess to clean up after their home was damaged Monday by a lightning strike and the fire it ignited.

Celina firefighters swarmed all over a neighborhood in the Creeks of Legacy development. Flames were showing from the roof when firefighters from Celina and Prosper pulled up.

Firefighters made a quick attack, using their tallest aerial deck guns to pour water down on top of the two-story home on Spring Creek Trail.

Commanders say, considering the head start the fire had, damage was kept to a minimum and no one was hurt.
