A Celina man is heading to prison for life nearly two years after he murdered his wife and their two teenage children.
Police reports say Michael Paton shot his wife, their 14-year-old daughter and their 13-year-old son. He then set their house on fire, called 911 and waited for the police. He was outside holding a pistol when they arrived but immediately set it down and surrendered.
Paton was found guilty of capital murder and automatically sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole.
