A former Fort Worth police officer who was accused of deleting child porn from a hospital computer has had the charges against him dropped.

Records show 47-year-old Rodsdricke Martin was a sergeant with the Fort Worth Police Department. Martin was accused of deleting child pornography off a patient's computer in a hospital instead of reporting it. He was fired after the charge and arrested.

Now according to his lawyers, the charges have been dropped because prosecutors determined that the recovered image did not meet the definition of child pornography, and that no crime was committed.

In a statement, Martin's lawyers say while he is pleased with this outcome he now must fight to restore his reputation and his career.

There is no word yet on if he will seek reinstatement with Fort Worth police.
