The Southlake Department of Public Safety has fired two of its officers for drawing a swastika during a break in a department meeting, the chief says.

Police chief James Brandon said he launched an internal investigation after the incident happened June 14.

He announced Friday that he'd fired the officers and said they showed exceptionally poor judgment and lack of leadership.

He said he was deeply disappointed and hoped firing them sent a clear message about the department and the city's values.
