Two Christian influencers and authors have been arrested in Keene on child abuse charges, according to Johnson County Jail records.

Seth Day and Heather Thompson Day were arrested on September 24th by Keene police. Both face charges of injury to a child, while Seth Day also faces a charge of sexual assault of a child, jail records show.

According to an arrest affidavit, police began investigating after a local high school reported that a student arrived with visible bruising and later told an administrator about an alleged assault. The student also accused Seth Day of sexual assault, according to the affidavit.

The affidavit alleges Seth Day assaulted the student out of anger and that Heather Thompson Day knew about the alleged assault but did not report it to police.

Both were booked into the Johnson County Jail and given $100,000 bonds. They have since been released.

Seth Day, an assistant professor at Southwestern Adventist University, has been placed on leave, according to a statement posted on social media. Heather Thompson Day hosts the podcasts Viral Jesus and What If I'm Wrong? and has co-authored several books with her husband.
