Cindy Rodriguez Singh, who is accused in her North Texas son’s death, is now in the Tarrant County jail after a global search.
The FBI announced earlier this week that they along with the U. S. State Department worked with officials in India to find and arrest her.
Tarrant County District Attorney Phil Sorrells says as of Thursday, she is in the custody of the Tarrant County Jail.
“I’m happy to report that Cindy Rodriguez Singh was deported from India yesterday and was met by federal agents at the New Delhi Airport,” Sorrells said via social media post. “Cindy Rogriguez Singh was booked in the Tarrant County Jail earlier today.”
Police were called for a welfare check on Noel Rodriguez when they believed Rodriguez Singh lied to them about his whereabouts.
Two days later, she boarded a flight to India with other members of her family and had been on the run for over two years.
“We are prepared to seek justice for Noel,” Sorrells said.
Singh is in the Tarrant County Jail on $10-million bond.
