Another shipment of COVID-19 vaccines are being distributed today in Garland.
This is the city's second vaccination event, the first happened last week and city officials say it went off without a hitch.
"Last week was our first one," says Dorothy White, Public and Media Relations Director for the City of Garland. "It went very smoothly. We of course reviewed how things went, learned a few things … but it really did go very well."
The city is only vaccinating those who have registered and been given an appointment time. Health officials say 1,000 vaccines were distributed last week and 1,000 were distributed today. In the future, White says they're hoping to get bigger shipments.
