Closing arguments are set for today in the civil trial against American Airlines, brought by a now retired flight attendant in connection with a sexual assault.
Kimberly Goesling is seeking more than a million dollars from Fort Worth-based American Airlines after she says the airline retaliated against her for reporting that she was sexually assaulted by celebrity chef Mark Sargeant.
During the final day of testimony, forensic psychologist Dr. Emily Lazarou testified that she interviewed Goesling for seven hours in March of 2021 and concluded that contrary to what a plaintiff's doctor testified, she does not suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder.
A now-retired manager of flight attendants for American also testified on behalf of the airline, and the jury saw a pair of video depositions.
