Its feeling more like early April than early February across north Texas. It's 60゚ right now at DFW airport!
You won't need a jacket this morning, but you will by later this afternoon... A cold front, now in the Texas Panhandle will drop temperatures in the 50s by this afternoon. A north wind gusting over 30 mph will make it feel colder throughout the day. So... go ahead and grab a jacket and throw it in your back seat, you'll need it on your way home from work.
No rain will accompany this cold front that's now moving through the Texas Panhandle.
Temperatures tomorrow morning will drop into the mid to upper thirties.
Seasonable days tomorrow through Sunday is expected with high temperatures in the mid fifties. If the clouds go away Saturday and Sunday we may jump up to 60゚ or higher.
Next week's forecast gets very interesting. You will think nothing is going on during the day on Monday as we get close to or slightly above 70゚! By Monday night, an Arctic blast arrives dropping temperatures into the twenties by late Tuesday...AND, we may NOT get above the freezing mark into NEXT weekend..As of now, I'm not expecting any precipitation within the cold air mass...but this might change.. The Sky should remain cloudy Tuesday through the end of next week. Again, temperatures may not get above freezing until late into next weekend. I will be keeping one eye open watching if any upper level disturbances ride in from the West and override the Arctic air at the surface. If that happens by the end of next week, we could see some wintry precipitation across north Texas.
It's way too early to forecast this, but its definitely some that bares watching.
