An armed man involved in an hours-long standoff with Colleyville police officers was taken to an area hospital with a "self-inflicted gunshot wound," police say.
During the standoff, which began around 12:30 p.m., residents were urged to stay indoors. Police said the area "is now secure."
The suspect was "contained" in the 3700 block of Brentwood Drive, which is just east of State Highway 26 and north of Chisolm Park, Colleyville police said.
Police said they assisted "another agency," which chased the suspect into Colleyville. He then exited the vehicle he was driving and fled on foot.
Police said they would release more information "as soon as possible."
