COLLIN COUNTY (1080 KRLD)- A rural Collin County woman who shot her estranged husband to death has been given six months in jail and 10-years on probation.
36-year old Morgan Simms testified she killed her husband in 2018 because she feared he would kill her first.
A jury rejected a murder charge, instead finding Simms guilty of the lesser charge of manslaughter.
