Collin College is getting nearly half a million dollars for a job-training program. The $491,000 grant is from the Texas Workforce Commission's Skills Development Fund.
Collin College will use the money to provide more than 330 employees at two companies with customized training. Those workers are at Advanced Fixture, Incorporated, and Credit Union of Texas.
The Governor says the grant will help increase both the quality and quantity of skilled workers in North Texas.
