COLLIN COUNTY(1080 KRLD)- Collin County has introduced its new vaccination registration system.
The county had to temporarily stop accepting new applications for their COVID vaccine waiting list because they're only getting about ten-thousand doses of the vaccine each week.
Additionally, John Clark Stadium in Plano got overwhelmed with people claiming they had an appointment when they did not and those jumping the line.
County judge Chris Hill explains how the new site works.
"It requires pin codes to make your appointments. Only the person who is on the wait list is the only person who can sign up. The pin code can only be used once," Hill says.
More than 270-thousand people have signed up so far.
He says their vaccine hub will keep vaccinating people who are already on the list. The county is only getting about 10-thousand vaccine doses from the state each week.
