A major milestone for the latest construction project along I-35W in Tarrant County, as the 7.2-mile project between North Tarrant Parkway and Eagle Parkway is now officially halfway completed.
Once completed, the managed toll lanes, which currently go as north as the U.S. 287 Decatur Cutoff, will be extended north to Eagle Parkway, just south of Texas Motor Speedway.

"The newly redesigned corridor will feature additional frontage roads in areas where there were none before," Angel Beltran, CEO of North Tarrant Infrastructure said. "Additional U-turns are also being added at most intersections along the project as well as redesigned ramps to improve access in the area."
There will also be direct connectors onto and off of SH 170.
Work along that stretch started two years ago and is expected to be completed by late next year.
