A contractor who was shocked by power lines in Fort Worth this week has now died.

The Tarrant County Sheriff's Office learned the worker was in a scissor lift hanging a sign on Camp Bowie Boulevard near Alta Mere in far west Fort Worth.

Reports say the metal lift came in contact with the power lines and the worker was severely burned by electricity.

He was rushed to a Fort Worth hospital and then transferred to the burn unit at Parkland Hospital in Dallas where he has now died. The investigation into his death continues.
