Coppell ISD sending two schools online only for a week over COVID cases

Coppell ISD is closing two schools and going to online learning over an increase in COVID cases.

The Coppell ISD announced today that both the 9th grade campus and Coppell High School will be moving to online only classes starting Thursday November 12th and going through Wednesday November 18th.

"We feel that this is in the best interest of these two schools, which are experiencing our highest numbers of positive COVID-19 cases and quarantined students and staff" said a release from the Coppell ISD.

The district says makeup volleyball games and an outdoor band competition will still take place.

In person learning will resume on Thursday, Nov. 19.

The district says New Tech and Victory Place will continue to offer in-person learning as well as all of the middle and elementary school campuses.
