Three people were found dead late Thursday in what authorities say was a murder-suicide in Corsicana.
Corsicana police said they received a 911 call just after 9 p.m. from an adult man who reported that he had fatally shot both of his parents at a home in the 3200 block of West Park Row.
According to police, the caller remained on the line with dispatchers and said he planned to take his own life after consuming narcotics and alcohol. Dispatchers made repeated efforts to keep the man talking while officers responded to the scene.
Police said the caller ended the call before officers arrived and died by suicide.
When officers entered the home, they found two parents — one in their late 70s and the other in their early 80s — along with their adult son, who was in his early 50s, all deceased.
Corsicana police said the investigation is ongoing.
