Dallas (1080 KRLD) - Dallas County is operating a COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Deep Ellum on Saturday, May 15th. County officials say the goal is to make it easy and convenient for young people to get the vaccine.
"We know that young people who are going out are at increased risk...being around a lot of folks," said Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins. "We know that according to national polling, young folks aren't getting shots with as high a frequency as middle-aged folks."
The temporary vaccine clinic will in front of the Uplift Luna Preparatory School at 2625 Elm Street in Dallas. Today's hours are between 11:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. The clinic will also be open at that location on Friday, May 21st from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, May 22nd from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
The vaccines are free and people do not have to pre-register.
