The Dallas Cowboys pulled off a dramatic 40-37 overtime win against the New York Giants on Sunday at AT&T Stadium, capping one of the wildest early-season games in recent memory.
The Giants led late in regulation, but the Cowboys tied the game at the buzzer on a stunning 64-yard field goal — one of the longest in franchise history. In overtime, cornerback DaRon Bland came up with a decisive interception to give Dallas the ball back. Kicker Brandon Aubrey then sealed the win with a 46-yard field goal, sending the home crowd into a frenzy.
Quarterback Dak Prescott threw for more than 300 yards but was picked off twice in the back-and-forth contest. Running back Ezekiel Elliott added two touchdowns on the ground, including a critical score in the fourth quarter to keep Dallas within striking distance.
The victory evens the Cowboys’ record at 1-1 on the season. They’ll head to Chicago next Sunday to face the winless Bears, with kickoff set for 3:25 p.m. at Soldier Field.
