A federal judge in Texarkana has declined to dismiss a counter suit Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has filed against two women.

Alexandra Davis and her mother Cynthia sued Jones in March 2023 claiming he was Alexandra's father. That suit was later dropped.

Jones filed the countersuit that says the two women broke a contract by discussing confidential matters that were spelled out in a 1998 settlement.

Judge Robert Schroeder has declined to dismiss Jones' counterclaim, ruling the settlement was a contract that was allowable under Texas law. Jury selection in Jones' suit is scheduled to begin July 19 in Texarkana.
