Crumbl Cookies has launched a line of customizable “dirty sodas” that has drawn attention for extremely high sugar content, with one popular 32-ounce option containing 186 grams of sugar — nearly half a pound.
The drink in question, known as Crazy Cousins, combines Red Bull, Mountain Dew, pineapple, strawberry puree, and coconut cream. It delivers approximately 840 calories and more than five times the recommended daily sugar intake for an average adult. For comparison, that’s roughly equivalent to the sugar in five cans of Coke or about 19 Krispy Kreme donuts.
Crumbl, best known for its weekly rotating gourmet cookies, expanded into the dirty soda category — a trend popularized in Utah — offering dozens of flavor combinations. Customers can mix sodas, energy drinks, syrups, purees, and creams. While some lower-sugar and diet-friendly options exist with as little as 5 grams of sugar, the higher-end creations have sparked online debate about health impacts and indulgence.

Crumbl has not issued a formal statement addressing the sugar criticism, but the company continues to emphasize fun, shareable experiences for its customers.
