87% of Americans will celebrate the 4th of July this year - and Dallas is one of the top places to do it - according to WalletHub's report on 2023's Best & Worst Places for 4th of July Celebrations.

The Top 10:
1. Los Angeles
2. San Francisco
3. New York
4. Las Vegas
5. Seattle
6. San Diego
7. Orlando
8. Dallas
9. San Antonio
10. Milwaukee

WalletHub ranked the 100 most populous cities in the country by a number of metrics. Some of the areas where Dallas did well: Legality of Fireworks (1st), Prevalence of Affordable 4.5+ Star Restaurants (1st), and Duration of Fireworks Show (11th).

"Dallas is a popular place to be," says Jill Gonzalez, analyst at WalletHub. "There's a lot of party suppliers per-capita. It has one of the longer fireworks shows out there, so that's important."

In the overall rankings, Plano came in 26th, Fort Worth was 39th, Irving was 50th, Arlington #51, and Garland was 90th.

"Plano does really well with safety," Gonzalez says. "It's also very accessible."
