A Dallas man whom the FBI says was one of the first through the door during the US Capitol riot in Washington D.C. last month is before a US Magistrate in Dallas.
Actor Luke Coffee of Dallas is making a court appearance Friday, after spending the night in the Dallas County jail.
If you saw any of the video of the insurrection, chances are you saw the man the FBI says is Dallas resident Luke Coffee. He is the man holding a crutch, seen at the front of the line that's fighting Capitol Police January 6th.
In fact, Coffee is seen holding the crutch over his head. For that, the FBI has charged Coffee with assaulting a federal officer with a dangerous weapon, interference with a law enforcement officer, obstructing an official proceeding, unlawful entry on restricted grounds and disorderly conduct on capitol grounds.
Coffee has appeared in numerous TV productions.
