The wintry weather is putting Dallas Animal Services in a desperate situation.
This week, there have been more cold-weather animal calls and fewer people adopting, so the shelter is at capacity. If people don't step up to adopt soon, officials say they're going to have to make some difficult decisions about euthanasia.
"It's the perfect storm," says Leah Backo, with Dallas Animal Services. "We need to get these pets out as quickly as possible. We need fosters and adopters."
Backo says adoptions can be done totally online, and there's even an option for curbside pickup.
More information about how to adopt can be found here.
