It seems everyone in Dallas, including police, residents and the Mayor are getting sick of street races and stunt driving in the city. And now city officials are looking to Austin for help.

It's been a growing problem for some time. Drivers taking over parking lots or intersections for their stunts including high speed donuts which are filmed and posted on social media.

It angers people who are stuck in traffic while the drivers take over the streets -- and many others worry about the inevitable fatalities that follow high speed crashes.

Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson has just about had it and so have several city council members who spoke out during yesterday's meeting.

The city plans to appeal to the Texas legislature to pass laws allowing police to confiscate the cars whenever they catch the dangerous drivers.

Lawmakers return to Austin next month for the new session.
