The Dallas City Council approved a multi-million-dollar incentive package Wednesday for Morgan Stanley.

The global financial services giant wants to expand into a $1.3-billion hub in Downtown Dallas.

City Councilman Jesse Moreno moved to approve the $18.5 million package which was passed unanimously.

"I have seen the hard work Dallas has done to support our business community across the City," Moreno said. "From the neighborhoods that have that small city charm to the world-class amenities offered in the heart of the bustling Downtown Dallas."

Mayor Eric Johnson says he looks forward to welcoming Morgan Stanley to Y'all Street.

"We have worked hard to make Dallas America's most pro-business city," Mayor Johnson said. "Y'all Street is more than a slogan."

The new operational hub would bring over $780 million in capital investment and create up to 4,800 high-paying jobs.

While Morgan Stanley would await construction of a new tower in Uptown Dallas, they would lease space in the Fountain Place skyscraper in Downtown Dallas.
