North Texas is once again well-represented among the world's wealthiest, with 28 Dallas-area residents landing on Forbes' 2026 World's Billionaires List - headlined by two women holding some of the most elite wealth rankings on the planet.

Fort Worth Walmart heiress Alice Walton has maintained her status as the world's richest woman for the third consecutive year, ranking 14th overall on the global list — moving up one spot from last year. Her net worth is estimated at $134 billion, a staggering $33 billion increase over her previous ranking.

Koch Inc. stakeholder Elaine Marshall and her family are the richest Dallas residents, ranking No. 71 on the global list with an estimated net worth of $30.9 billion - a gain of $2.6 billion since last year.

Oil magnate Lyndal Stephens Greth and her family are the second-richest Dallasites in 2026, ranking just six spots behind Marshall with an estimated net worth of $30 billion. Greth was the former chair of Endeavor Energy Resources, which she sold to Diamondback Energy in 2024.

Other notable Dallas-area names on the list include Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and family, ranked No. 128 with a net worth of $20.3 billion, up sharply from $16.6 billion in 2025, and banking and real estate mogul Andy Beal at No. 238 with $12.6 billion.

Two DFW residents made their debut on the list this year: financial services investor Thomas Dundon and oil, gas, and data center businessman Toby Neugebauer, both tied at No. 2052 with an estimated net worth of $2 billion each.

One familiar name is absent from this year's list: tech entrepreneur Darwin Deason, who died in December 2025 at 85. Deason founded Dallas-based Affiliated Computer Services in 1988 and later sold it to Xerox in 2010.

Globally, Forbes counted a record 3,428 billionaires on this year's list, with combined net wealth jumping $4 trillion to a record total. The publication noted there has "never been a better time to be a billionaire." Among 390 newcomers worldwide were Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, Dr. Dre, and Roger Federer.

Topping the global list for the second consecutive year is Austin's Elon Musk, whose net worth has soared to $839.6 billion.
